As far as Wall Street, Obama’s already received over a third of what they donated in 2008 for the entire cycle. Though we can see who Wall Street’s favorite is for the GOP side. I don’t think it’s possible to deny the influence of corporate Wall Street dollars in our elections.
Let’s take Goldman Sachs as an example. Here’s their break down for 2012: They’ve donated a total of $1,858,958 thus far, $508,609 to Democrats and $1,350,349 to Republicans, for a 27%/73% split.
Compare to 2008. By the end of the election cycle, Goldman Sachs donated $6,025,681. Of that, $4,489,893 went to Democrats, and $1,525,448 went to Republicans for a 75%/25% split.
This is why I laugh nearly uncontrollably when I hear Fox News talking about Obama’s occupiers. He’s not on our side, guys.
Essentially, we’re supposed to support democratic movements elsewhere, not here at home. God forbid you actually participate.

Obama sold us a ‘bill of goods’! I sometimes wonder if he was the Koch brother’s first fake Dem candidate, cuz he’s acted like a Republican trojan horse since he took office. He’s been a complete sell-out! Gave the Bush admin a complete pass. Not only gave Goldman Sachs a pass, but hired one of their top employees (Geithner) to oversee making sure Sachs didn’t lose a penny! And went along with another top Sachs employee (Paulson) on what history will eventually record as the biggest con job in US history. Has only closed 1 of the 18 CIA ‘black prisons’. Sold out the HCR bill before debate even started with his back-room deal with Big Pharma. I could go on, but I’m about to vomit. Long story, short…FUCK OBAMA!

When the NYPD performed a militarized raid of Zuccotti Park on November 15, 2011, they threw the 5,554 books in the People’s Library (and the tent, donated by author Patti Smith) into a trash compactor. In response to the outrage over the destruction of books, Bloomberg’s office tweeted a disingenuous picture of the books and laptops being “safely stored” at the Department of Sanitation. However, when #OWS librarians arrived with an inventory of the books, they confirmed that most of the books were missing or damaged or soiled beyond use because of the trash compactor.
This is what a police state looks like.
